The Villa offers easy access to all the local un-spoilt villages set in the hills but is still only a 25 min drive to the more vibrant coast. You can therefore have the best of both worlds, a tranquil holiday and or a more vibrant beach/watersports style of holiday. There are the beaches of Torre Del Mar, Torrox and Nerja
The local village of Competa is only 1 km. From this eastern side of the Costa Del Sol, you can also drive to the more cosmopolitan Marbella and Gibraltar in approx. 2 hours. Or visit the world-renowned, Granada and the Alhambra Palace with 1.5-2 hour drive.

The local restaurants are numerous and excellent and offer superb value for money. Because this area still maintains it's true Spanish roots, there are many local festivals and fiestas throughout the year.
